The Story of Muzeon

About Us

Muzeon is an innovative Jewish History Museum, founded in 2020, as a private initiative. Based on a family history, the museum tells stories of the Jewish community in Cluj, Romania, via three different audio guides: Julia, Paul, and David. All the information in the museum, including the audio guide, is available in English, Romanian, and Hungarian.

The Muzeon mission is to offer visitors a meaningful learning experience, without the effort of learning. That is why there are three different audio guides, which tell real stories in first person, combined with interactive exhibits, artifacts, artistic installations, and Virtual Reality.

Reviews from our visitors

  • 5 star review  A really well made museum! Also doesn‘t take super long. A tour takes at most 45 minutes, but the time is really well spent!

  • 5 star review  A shaking experience, the story of Holocaust seen through the eyes of three members of a Jewish family from Cluj-Napoca, Julia, David and Paul. I really felt their pain when I passed through the car of the train which was containing the luggage and the two buckets, one for water and the other one...for toilet purposes. Plus the striped uniform, the shoes of the kids and the little toy... It moved me...is something to been seen and listened during your visit in Cluj.

  • 5 star review  Probably the best museum in Cluj! Amazing storytelling and atmosphere with a very friendly and helpful staff. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to find out more information about Jewish history, culture and the Holocaust. Also if you're a student the ticket is 19 lei, well worth the price in my opinion.
