The Story of Muzeon

About Us

Muzeon is an innovative Jewish history exhibition, founded in 2020, as a private initiative. Based on a family history, Muzeon tells stories of the Jewish community in Cluj, Romania, via three different audio guides: Julia, Paul, and David. All the information in the exhibition, including the audio guide, is available in English, Romanian, Hungarian, Hebrew, German, French, and Spanish.

The Muzeon mission is to offer visitors a meaningful learning experience, without the effort of learning. That is why there are three different audio guides, which tell real stories in first person, combined with interactive exhibits, artifacts, artistic installations, and Virtual Reality.

Reviews from our visitors

  • One of the best and most touching Holocaust museums I have visited. Small but very well organized and story told with the essential aspects.

  • Frumos, dar e doar povestea, nu sunt foarte multe lucruri de văzut.

  • Nice, but it's just the story, not much to see.

  • A didactically very well designed museum that impressively explains both the history of the Jews of Europe and the Holocaust. There is a successful audio guide in many languages, which explains their fate from the perspective of 3 different affected Jewish family members. Can be listened to with your own smartphone and headset or borrowed tablet.
