The Story of Muzeon

About Us

Muzeon is an innovative Jewish history exhibition, founded in 2020, as a private initiative. Based on a family history, Muzeon tells stories of the Jewish community in Cluj, Romania, via three different audio guides: Julia, Paul, and David. All the information in the exhibition, including the audio guide, is available in English, Romanian, Hungarian, Hebrew, German, French, and Spanish.

The Muzeon mission is to offer visitors a meaningful learning experience, without the effort of learning. That is why there are three different audio guides, which tell real stories in first person, combined with interactive exhibits, artifacts, artistic installations, and Virtual Reality.

What They Say About Muzeon

Reviews from our visitors

  • A special experience!!! The exhibits are marked and correspond to an audio guide that you can follow on your phone through headphones (your own or received from the museum); there are 3 versions of the audio guide - in the form of an autobiography of real people from the period of the Second World War. Not to be missed!!!

  • I love this museum; it’s thoughtfully put together and creates a pensive and personal journey for the viewer. We are taken through artful retelling of real Holocaust experiences of the museum creators’ ancestors, and the exhibits are also informative on general Jewish history in Transylvania. My favourite museum in the city.

  • One of the best and most touching Holocaust museums I have visited. Small but very well organized and story told with the essential aspects.
